Our Services

Engram Design is a small, but dedicated creative team based out of Melbourne and Launceston, Australia. We love crafting websites, with a focus on great user-interface design, elegant and solid coding, and high functionality. We’re a friendly team, who are passionate about what they do, and have worked on both projects within Australia and around the world.

Out of our extensive list of services we offer (see on the right), we specialise in WordPress & PHP development, with a keen focus on XHTML / CSS standards. This also includes a vast knowledge and experience of jQuery for front-end user experience. While we love to code, we also recognise the need to create a visually appealling website for your visitors, and as such, are profficient with tools such as Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator which allow us to create stunning interfaces.

In addition, we have experience in Mobile user-interface design, such as designing apps for iPhones, iPads, or Android devices. We can also create mobile versions of your website, that allow your website to be viewed through any mobile device.

We also provide more traditional design services, such as Corporate Identity design. This most commonly involves Logo design, but can also expand to an entire branding campaign through letterheads, signage and brochures. On the occasion, we also produce Flyers and Brochures for special events.

 

The Process

Although each project we undertake can be different, most follow a general design process, as outlined below.

The first step is to discuss your ideas and hopes for your website, which will be wireframed by us. At this stage, we’re only looking at how users will interact with your website, and the overall structure of your website, such as pages, menus and interactivity.

Next, we create the visual look for your website, with close consultation with you. Typically, our clients are satisfied with our first visual design, but we will, of course, work with you on a design until you love it.

Once you’re happy with the ‘look’, your website will be coded into HTML / CSS / Javascript. We thoughroughly test your website in all major browsers, and includes testing on mobile handsets, so your website looks perfect no matter who views it.

Additionally, we integrate your website with a Content Management System (CMS), by creating a theme for WordPress. This step will also include the setup of any additional, interactive features you wish to include (gallery, blog, etc). This is completely optional, but is strongly recommended unless you are comfortable with editing HMTL, CSS and Javascript.

Once you are happy with your website, we’ll hand it over to you. We’ll also setup Analytics to give you detailed statistics on your visitors and how your users interact with your website.
